Day 50- My Hand

I am so grateful for my hands! I took them for granted until a few years ago when my almost lifelong carpal tunnel problems and more recent tendonitis began to impact the use of my hands. I had surgery on my right hand in December and plan on having my left taken care of in a few months. I have regained some feeling in the fingertips of my right hand and am now working on rebuilding some of the muscles.

Today’s theme is your own hand, a very appropriate topic for me. Here I am making cubes with my putty- good practice for developing a pincer grip (it’s harder than it looks).

  1. Great shot. I like the black and white processing. And, I can tell you’re squeezing! I’m glad you explained about the putty. I thought you were indulging in giant caramels!

  2. This is a great shot. Just a thought……I suffered with this kind of thing for years, sleeping with those braces etc. My arms and hands went completely numb at night. then…my daughter graduated from massage school, and she worked for a chiropractor…something I never believed in, and was actually afraid of. Finally just before going for that carple tunnel surgery, I took my daughter’s suggestion to see the Chiropractor. He said it was “Thorasic outlet”, coming from 5 troublesome discs in my neck. He worked on me, and completely reversed everything. I still go twice a month and i just don’t have the problems at all now. My so called Carple Tunnel was diagnosed through a nerve conduction test. so I thought that was an authentic diagnosis. It proved to be otherwise. Just my experience for what it’s worth.
