Doors, flowers, color. . .

and don’t forget HISTORY! Tucson’s Barrio Viejo is a magnet for Southwest photographers and never disappoints, even with construction happening. Many of the historic buildings have been updated and restored but keep the character of the original barrio. This is a multiple exposure of two houses, still with their cracks and imperfections.

Ocean

Here is another ocean image taken at the same time as the one from a few days ago. I’ve been experimenting making colorful textures (a total departure for me) in an attempt to create a different painterly look than usual. I like how they blend with ocean and beach photos.

Eklutna Lake- Two Ways

Our son-in-law took us for a drive over to Eklutna Lake, which was not yet completely frozen. The icy shoreline proved irresistible to kids and dog who immediately were running and sliding and having a great time.

I realized I haven’t posted as many black and whites as usual- and I do love black and white. So I converted today’s image into a monochrome, although I think I like it better in color.
