The topic today was something about a view from above. I tried to get a cool macro of some of my husband’s birthday ribbon from one of his presents, but could only seem to capture it from the side. I’m afraid it looks a little Christmassy. . .
So my view from above is of my husband (who works from home) on a coffee break. BTW, I used the speedlight on both photos today.

Wow, both great shots. You’re right, the ribbons do look a bit Christmassy but the color and composition are great. And I love that you used the speed light. I can’t wait to learn more about using that light from you. And nice perspective on the shot of Lonnie. I really like the black and white.
