I’m sure I’ve written about my favorite piece of furniture before- the one hundred year old mahogany dental cabinet that belonged to my father. It sits by the front door and holds drawerfuls of family memories- as well as some old liqueur glasses behind the little glass doors above. I took this photo for today’s Flickr topic- open.

I love that piece, I look at it every time I come to your house.
I like the composition. The real flowers add a lovely counterpoint to the floral design of the glass. I also think the lighting is just fabulous. Very chiaroscuro-ish.
Oh, and thanks, btw. I noticed that you were at Day 224 and despite my having a Julian calendar app for my iPhone, I don’t ever bother to look at it and a few days ago I managed to skip a few dates on my blog. So, thanks to you, it’s now back on track!
