I have been bracking (3) and using photomatix, super easy to use. I have tried using one raw shot but didn’t care for the effect, I felt it didn’t bring out the color as much. When I finish playing in photomatix, I generally upload to photoshop and make a few adjustments; cropping, brightness, level… Then it off to picnik, I have been using the “soft” effect and really like what it does to the photo. If I used my wide filter, I often use the vignetting to blend in the dark outer circle. I wish I was able to edit all in one program but I like different elements in each of the three.
I am planning on heading up to NYC within the next few weeks, (it been awhile since I have been there). I was planning on getting a evening skyline shot and hoping to HDR it! Your Golden Gate came out perfect. One day I’ll get to CA to visit my son and tour around.
