Eww! Yellow jackets. Watch out for those stingers. I’m proud of you. Despite the danger, you captured a beautiful shot and how nice that the creature matches the stamens (pistils?) Interesting composition and angle and I like the shallow depth of field; the business end of that wasp is out of focus and the eye in perfect focus. Very dramatic.
One of these wasps stung me a couple of weeks ago, in my effort to harvest my grapes. They love them. The sting was not as bad as I had aticipated. i think honey bees are worse.
