Day 172- Mystery!

The topic today is MYSTERY!  I had a great idea, which I couldn’t quite execute.  We’ve had a group of crows hanging out in our backyard, and they leave whenever we go outside. I almost got a shot today, but they are smarter than I am. So this is all I can offer- not quite a MURDER of CROWS, as I had planned.

OK, bird rescuers (and you know who you are!), I wasn’t planning to MURDER the crows! A group of crows is called a MURDER, but if you are a bird rescuer, you probably know that. . .

So here’s the real mystery. What are these plants/things (Carol, you can’t guess the last one)???

  1. Yes, I know about a murder of crows. And indeed the crows I work with murder may be the only way to keep them quite!

  2. LOL! I was expecting Alfred Hitchcock to be peering around one of the branches behind the crows! Nice shot and black and white is perfect for this subject. OK, now the pressure is on. The second shot looks to be a flower petal but I can’t tell you what kind of flower. The second is a seed head of some sort? It almost looks like an artichoke or some kind of thistle, maybe? Number three? A small piece of down or some other type of feather on your window screen?
