Today I’m posting a few more photos from when we went over to Bodega a week or so ago. I don’t know why these poles were sticking out of the sand, but I love the lines against the sky, ocean, and beach.
We watched this surfer for an hour, and he never made it upright. The waves were huge, and it seemed to take forever for him to get out past the big ones (which you can’t see in any of these shots).
I said no seagull photos- but here is one anyway. . .

I never get tired of beach shots — and these are just beautiful. Love that first one especially.
The water and the sand looks so inviting. I could just sink my toes on the sand and just stay there for hours.
People stick the wood in the sand because…………….they can. Growing up at Jenner , it was a challenge to see who could put the biggest , tallest, silliest pieces of wood in the sand and make great “THINGS” . As we got older, we made wind blocks so we could sun bathe. There used to be some great sculptures up and down the beaches.
Melinda, I can’t believe I’ve gone so long without commenting. And some of these I don’t even remember seeing. I have been overextending myself lately. I promise to get back in the groove. These all have effective composition. I like the seagull shot but I really love the surfer, Very nice.
