Day 177- Spoon Wars

Early this morning, in response to the theme pile or stack, I stacked some spoons and photographed them in slightly different compositions and positions.  We were gone to a workshop all day, and I’m just now looking at the resulting photos. I’m a little rummy- so I had my husband (!) choose his favorites of the mix. So- of the three chosen, which one is the best?

They were all shot at ISO 1600- and I forgot noise reduction! Oooops!

  1. I think Lonnie made some excellent selections. It’s hard to pick a favorite. I like each for a different reason. The first has wonderful composition, focus, and bokeh and it’s somehow mysterious. The second is startling with the colors and patterns of the reflections but that’s what makes it intriguing. The third in black and white is the most spoon-like, that is, the subject (spoons) is most apparent in this one. But I keep returning to the second one for some reason. The colors and reflections are very appealing. I’m not sure why, maybe because the curved reflection pattern in the bowl of the spoon and colors, remind me of Polynesian (Tapa?) cloth. I think my favorite is the middle one.
