Melinda, this shot moves me: I have old photos of my dad as a young father, fishing from the piers. There were always old men and women fishing too. Someday… I’ll see San Francisco again. It really is “Bagdad by the Bay.” Well, according to Herb Caen, who came to us every Sunday and we read without fail, but didn’t understand when I was a child, but loved his play with words, but DID understand after I grew up and could feel as if I had joined a wonderful, secret club.
Your photo dug out some old memories for me.
