SHORT walk

Yesterday’s late afternoon walk at Willow Lake turned out to be a very short one due to the HUGE quantity of gnats, no-seeums- whatever they were. We are accustomed to being annoyed by a swarm or two of these creatures on part of the trail, but on this day, at this time, it was ridiculous.  Someone on the trail said they always seem to come out more around 4:00- back to morning walks!

We were happy to see wildflowers and blossoms on the part of the trail that we did- so here are a few (all taken with the Lensbaby and Sweet35).

  1. Oh gnats are just so terrible but I also remember our hikes in the Sierra’s and the Mosquitos much worse but any kind of insect flying around you and you are trying to enjoy the beauty isn’t good. So fun each of these images are, I know I have told you before how much I like that you enjoy the Lensbaby so much. Just makes me so happy. I talked to Lensbaby and asked about the Fuji mount they are supposed to come out with and she said in May they would be making the Composer Pro and the Velvet 56 for the Fuji. I didn’t want to get the Composer Pro as I already have it for the Canon but I am thinking I might have to get it sooner or later. I know I want the Velvet, for the macros and just looks like so a great addition to what I already have. She couldn’t give me a timeline on when it will be out other than May, I am hoping it will be so I can get it before I leave for Europe. Take care Melinda and I really do need to come up sometime this summer. 🙂
